Presences

The human being in its light, its fragility, its silence.

There are moments when a being does not show itself, it reveals itself. A gesture, a posture, a light resting on a shoulder are enough to tell what words avoid. Here bodies do not pose: they exist, crossed by time, by shadow, by thought. These paintings do not look for likeness but for the trace — that moment when someone appears not through their face, but through what emanates from them. Presences held in a breath, in the direction of a gaze, and in an absence too.
